Financial meltdown and 1930s-style depression are back in vogue this season, so as hedge fund traders plummet to their doom from flaming Canary Wharf windows, what better time for another grim, Shakespearean-style reminder about how Greed is actually A BIT BAD?
Money Never Sleeps, the sequel to Oliver Stone’s pastel-shaded morality tale Wall Street, has been greenlit by Fox, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Allan Loeb (Things We Lost In The Fire, 21) is tipped for screenwriting duties, and Michael Douglas is reportedly interested in returning as the satanic Gordon Gekko if the results are to his liking.
In the meantime, enjoy this nostalgic look back at the era of brick phones, braces and Brylcreem...

Jonesing For Pizza?
A leaked Lucasfilm memo reveals a bizarro US marketing concept for the R1 DVD & Blu-ray release of Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull. According to Variety, any real-life Dr Jones can claim a free Papa Johns pizza - and if they live in Indiana, they get a free DVD too! Eh? Whatever next - anyone with a pacemaker gets a free stick-on Tony Stark goatee with every Blu-ray Iron Man? Anyone missing an ear gets a free tank of gas with every Reservoir Dogs reissue?* Anyone with anger issues gets green body paint if they so much as pick up and vaguely consider renting The Incredible Hulk?

*It should be noted that, without fail, every re-release of Reservoir Dogs arrives on reviews desks with an accompanying rubber ear. For which there is no known use.
