Own the Knight...

We know what you're getting for Christmas... No, we haven't 'felt your presents', we've just heard ridiculously advanced rumours of a release date for wildly anticipated Batman movie The Dark Knight. Apparently the disc is due to hit shelves in the US on 9 December which should be just enough time to import for the festive season.

Batmania is building already, with Batman Begins on Blu-ray and limitied edition DVD on 14 July. We don't have full details on the set as yet, but the R1 version, which is due to hit the US shops just a few days before, is going to include a lenticular, a 32-page booklet including an all-new DC Comics comic book adaptation of The Dark Knight prologue plus photos, script pages and story boards. You'll also get five Batman Begins postcards and in the US a money off-voucher for The Dark Knight at the cinema - we expect something similar for the R2 release. The extras will be the same as on the 2-disc set, apparently.
