Star Wars Vs Saul Bass

This isn't brand new but it's damn cool so I thought it was worth posting. Saul Bass is the guy who designed the title sequences to loads of movies particularly in the 50s and 60s including various Hitchcock films like Psycho, Vertigo and North by Northwest. He has a really distinctive style and here someone's designed a Saul Bass tribute version of the Star Wars credits. Loving this. Check it out:

New Wanted Trailer Possibly The Coolest Thing Ever? Or This Week, Certainly...

James McAvoy is a lucky git, isn't he? Going from the cute and geeky one in Shameless to the cute and geeky one in Starter for Ten via a Golden Globe nomination to shooting, knife-fighting, hanging out of moving vehicles and snogging Angelina Jolie.

The new Wanted trailer's just appeared online and it's quite exciting. Wanted is Russian director Timur Bekmambetov first English language feature, starring McAvoy, Jolie and Morgan Freeman. Bekmambetov made his name with the Nightwatch trilogy - Nightwatch, Daywatch and currently in post-production Twilight Watch. They're complex, rather messy movies but the action and the visuals are spectacular.

So this trailer's not on Youtube yet so we can't embed it, you'll have to click on this link and watch via Rotten Tomatoes. But remember the car driving up the side of the hotel in Daywatch? More of the same. Check this out.
